Traveling to Lisbon and want to visit the best rooftop bars? I got you covered. Lisbon has some of the best views and coolest bars. There are many rooftop bars to choose from in Lisbon but why not visit the ones with the best food, drinks, and swanky decor. I am going to give you a list of the best rooftop bars in Lisbon that you must visit!
The Best Rooftop Bars in Lisbon
When in search for the best rooftop bars in Lisbon you want striking views, superb drinks, and a stylish atmosphere. You also don’t want a crowded place in which you have to fight for a good spot to enjoy all of those things. In my list, I’ll provide you with the less crowded but equally fantastic bars in Lisbon.
Let’s begin with my favorite!
Entretanto Rooftop Bar
This rooftop bar in Lisbon has a marvelous view of Sao Jorge Castle, is located in a luxury hotel, and has the best sushi! You have the option of having a drink or dinner in the beautifully decorated lounge connected to the rooftop, or you can head straight for the main attraction-the rooftop. Located on the 7th floor of Hotel do Chiado.
To give you a bit of a disclaimer the drinks aren’t the cheapest you can find in Lisbon. After all, it is located in the posh Hotel do Chiado, in which you will receive excellent service and food. I mean there’s a sushi chef on the rooftop designing a masterpiece roll just for you.. you get what you pay for! But trust me, you’ll love it! Just show up at the “right” time, when the full menu is available at 5:00 or make a reservation to guarantee a table outside.

Next up, Miradouro das Porta do Sol Terrace
This rooftop bar in Lisbon was tied for first, but I listed it as second due to the fact that other tourists may stumble upon it. If people notice others traveling up the somewhat hidden staircase, then there goes the crowd effect, and it could become cramped. Located in Alfama right near all the attractions is a small rooftop cafe with awe-inspiring views. The service is slow, but you won’t care because you’ll be soaking up the sun and probably taking far too many pictures of Lisbon from the comfort of your seat.
Ristorante Porta do Sol
This rooftop bar is right down the street from Miradouro das Porta do Sol Terrace but offers an entirely different experience. The rooftop is huge! It has enough room for tables, couches, and even lounge chairs. Lined with extremely comfy seats and glistening lemon trees is Restaurante Porta do Sol. I did not eat here, I just stopped for a cup of tea and ended up staying way longer than planned because of how tranquil the place is. Because of its size, you have a great deal of room which is rare for any dining establishment in Europe.
Chapito a mesa
This is more of a nightlife spot. Chapito is located on the top of a large hill which gives it the benefit of having marvelous views. There are several avenues in which you can enjoy its premises. There is the carnival-themed dining room to have dinner, the rooftop although small each table has a decent view. Another dining room up a floor from the terrace, and a club downstairs. The rooftop is excellent, drinks are cheap, and the food is typical Portuguese dishes. If you are visiting with friends, this would be a fun spot for drinks but seating a large party for dinner may not be ideal. Either way, try to stop by for the fun decor and some cool pictures!

Last but not least! Lost In
Lost In offers a garden and terrace with astonishing views! This colorful oasis serves up a fusion between Asian and Meditteranean dishes. They also have happy hour specials and live music events. Make a stop at Lost In to escape the busy streets of Lisbon and enjoy the view!
