Amalfi Coast, one of the most beautiful places in Italy! From vivid turquoise water to majestic hilltop views, it is a must see destination. Visiting the Amalfi Coast was a dream come true, I can not wait to go back, and I hope you will visit someday too!
Positano is one of the most popular destinations on the Amalfi Coast. Many overlook the less touristy towns and unfortunately miss out on the beauty those places have to offer. I implore you to visit Atrani, a less crowded but just as breathtaking location on the coast.
Atrani, has everything you need, great beaches, delicious food, and friendly locals that will go out of their way to make you feel at home.
Here are some highlights from my trip to Atrani!
Atrani, is a city on the Amalfi Coast, in the Campania region of south-western Italy. Atrani is a charming fishing village, with loads of character, and walking distance to Amalfi (town).
The Views: You will never tire of the scenic views of the Santa Maria Maddalena, that overlooks the sea.
Castiglione Beach: To access this gorgeous beach, you must endure the lengthy stairs (typical in Amalfi) from the road. Here you will enjoy sun bathing and swimming in this beautiful turquoise water.
Stop for a drink! Take a break from the heat and visit Le Arcate, located right on the beach. Whether you want a drink, food, or to enjoy yet another breathtaking view, this place has it all!
Take a short walk into the town of Amalfi. Just watch out for scooters while you are taking in the sights.
The town of Amalfi has many restaurants, shops, and this historic cathedral. Duomo di Sant’Andrea Apostolo is in the center of the town square and home to the crypt of St. Andrew.
Restaurants: On your walk back, have dinner at Tora Saracena. They offer fresh, delicious seafood and again, fantastic views!
